Anotácia:

V posledných takmer 50.-tich rokoch komunistického režimu, ako aj v posledných 6-tich rokoch po víťazstve demokracie sú v Albánsku lesy majetkom štátu. V mnohých prípadoch sa štátny majetok považuje za majetok nikoho. Tento prístup spolu s biedou na vidieku priniesol ťažké škody na lesoch. V posledných 2 - 3 rokoch beží projekt financovaný Svetovou bankou, realizovaný v troch obciach krajiny. Jeho cieľom je, aby lesy v týchto obciach boli prevedené z vlastníctva štátu do vlastníctva obcí a časť z nich jednotlivým poľnohospodárom. V budúcnosti bude tento projekt rozšírený na 30 obcí.

In the last 50 years of the communist regime and during the last 6 years after the victory of democracy the forests in Albania have been in the hands of the state. In many cases the property of the state means the property of nobody. This approach, together with the poverty in the villages, has brought about significant damage to the forests. The state, together with other activities, would like to solve this problem. A project financed by the World Bank has been running in three villages over the last two to three years. The goal of the project is to transfer ownership of the forests in these villages from the hands of the state to the hands of the villages, and a part thereof to the hands of villages, and a part thereof to the hands of individual farmers. The project with is expanded to 30 villages in the future.
