Anotácia:

Film je venovaný pastierom v oblasti Korabu, Karala e Dodes, jednej z najhornatejších oblastí Albánska. V tejto oblasti je päť dedín, v ktorých žije 5000 obyvateľov v nadmorskej výške 800 až 1400 metrov. V tejto oblasti sa pasie 50-tisíc oviec. Život obyvateľov je úzko spojený s ovcami. Zaobchádzajú s nimi tak, akoby to boli členovia ich rodín. Počas obdobia máj – september sa ovce pasú na vysočine Korabu vo výške 2400 metrov, kým v zime sa sťahujú dole. (Korab je najvyšší vrch v Albánsku.) Dokumentárny film prináša tú časť života pastierov, keď žijú v horách. Dokumentuje ich prácu a ťažkosti, při aj udržiavanie tradície chovu oviec.

The film is devoted to shepherds of Korab area, Kala e Dodes, one of the most mountainous areas of Albania. This area consists of 5 villages and 5000 inhabitants, at height of 800 – 1400 meters over the sea level. This area manages 50000 sheep heads. The life of the inhabitants is closely connected with the sheep. They treat sheep as if they were their family´s members. During the period May – September the sheep graze on the highlands of Korab, at a high of 2400 meters, white in winter they migrate to seal areas. (Korab i the highest mountain in Albania.) The documentary film brings a part of the life of shepherds during the period of time they live in the mountain, the work and their difficulties as well as keeping the tradition of producing sheep.
