Včely nás možno o trochu viac než ostané druhy hmyzu fascinujú svojou neuveriteľnou organizovanosťou a množstvom schopností. Ľudia majú včely v hlbokej úcte. Tvorkyne medu a vosku sú stelesnením užitočnosti hmyzu „par excellence“. Včely majú však aj svoju temnú stránku. V určitých situáciách sa môžu stať agresívnym a nebezpečným rojom.
