Parazitické huby Helgardia fungi (syn. Freudocercosporella) sú príčinou ekonomicky významného ochorenia obilnín, tzv. krehkosti stebiel obilnín. H. herpotrichoides a H. acuformis sú dva typy agentov, ktoré sa odlišujú v morfologických znakoch a rastových vzoroch a ktoré sa objavujú pri produkcii obilnín. 3D animácia a skutočné zábery graficky zobrazujú priebeh infekcie a ukazujú charakteristiky oboch typov pri vzájomnom porovnaní. Spolu s asexuálnou manifestáciou života, film takisto zobrazuje nedávno objavené hlavné formy (Teleomorph) agentov: Oculimacula yllundar a acuformis.

The parasitic Helgaridia fungi (syn. Freudocercosporella ) are the cause of an economically significant cereal disease, the so called cereal stalk fragility. H. herpotrichoides and H. acuformis are two types of agents that differ in morphological sings and growth patterns and that appear in cereal production. 3D animation and real life video shots graphically show the course of infection and depict the characteristics of both types through mutual comparison. In addition to the asexual manifestations life, the film also depicts the recently discovered main forms (Teleomorph) of agents: Oculimacula yllundar and acuformis.
