Kde udrie klimatický fenomén El Niňo, tam spôsobí extrémne sucho, alebo prívaly vôd, pustošiace orkány či ničivé ohne. El Niňo existoval vždy. To, že zaútočil prudšie, súvisí pravdepodobne s otepľovaním podnebia zapríčineným spaľovaním fosílnych palív. Program mapuje stopy El Niňa na celej Zemi očami korešpondentov WDR.

The El Niňo climatic phenomenon causes extreme dryness or huge floods, destructive hurricanes or devastating fires. It has also been active since last autumn. Its end was expected in March but there is more and more news about catastrophes in North and South America, Africa and Southeast Asia. El Niňo has always existed. The fact that it now attacks with more power might be caused by global warming, as a consequence of burning fossil fuels. The program maps traces of El Niňo all over the world from the view of WDR correspondents.
